Questions
Everything people ask before the first visit
How much does a program cost?
The price of a visit depends on the program and the size of your lawn. Your written estimate has your lawn's measured size and your numbers.
Can the kids and the dog use the lawn after a visit?
Every product has a label with a re-entry time, and we write it on the card we leave at your door. Keep people and pets off the lawn until that time has passed and the lawn is dry. If a card ever leaves it out, call or text and we will send it.
What does organic mean here?
We use OMRI Listed fertilizer and no synthetic fertilizers or herbicides. OMRI Listed means a product appears on the Organic Materials Review Institute's list for use in organic production. It says nothing about any one visit, so read the label and ask us anything.
What happens at the first visit?
We walk the yard with you, pull soil plugs, measure the lawn and take a sample for the lab. Your written estimate follows once the results are back, with the program they call for.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Our state pesticide applicator license and our liability insurance are listed in the footer of every page.
What if it rains, snows or freezes on visit day?
Visits run from early spring to late fall. Rain, snow and frozen ground move a visit, and we text you a new day. We don't apply to frozen ground or standing water.
How do I pay?
Each visit is billed when it's done, and the invoice comes by text or email. The estimate says which payment methods we take.
What should I do before you arrive?
Mow a day or two before, pick up hoses, toys and dog bowls, and leave gates unlatched or tell us the code. You don't need to be home.
Can I cancel?
Yes, by text or email before your next visit. You pay for the visits already done and nothing after them, and there is no cancellation fee.
Which grass seed do you use?
A blend of Kentucky bluegrass and turf-type tall fescue for Front Range lawns. If your lawn is mostly fescue or has a shady corner, we'll say so in the estimate and match the blend.
Do you mow?
No. We give you a mowing height and a watering note at every visit, and your own mower or mowing service does the rest.
What areas do you serve?
Boulder County and the towns next door, listed on the service area page. We don't take lawns in Denver, Fort Collins or on mountain properties above the foothills.
Still wondering?
Text a photo of the lawn and ask. A person answers.
